Skold and Nilsson seems to be team mates: K Skold vs Z Nilsson, 1966 so maybe there is a club-related friendship/connection to Petrosian....

Oct-21-10  whiteshark: <Benzol> here is the last one, mentionend on p147 of Dr. Fritz Baumbach 's book <52-54 Stop <>>.

Game was between ex-world champion Petrosian and East German broadcasting organisation, supervised by correspondence world champion Horst Robert Rittner. Each week a move was made. Baumbach says that Rittner practically played the game himself.

Oct-22-10  Benzol: <whiteshark> Thankyou so much. Those games are incredible finds. Correspondence games very often don't get the recognition they deserve IMHO.

:)

Oct-22-10  HSOL: whiteshark: The Sköld vs Nilsson game is from the Swedish championships.
