Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-13-08  atahualpa yupanqui: perhaps I'm a noob but why Black resign here?, I see the winning for white in case black take the rook with his pawn which will be

16:Gxf6, 17: Bh6+/Ke8, 18:Qc8+/Bd8 19:Re1+/Qe3, 20:Rxe3+/Be4, 21: Rxe4++

but I don't see the winning in case black decide to take the rook with the Bishop (16: Bxf6) can someone explain me please

Dec-14-08  Jim Bartle: If black plays Bxf6, then maybe 17. Bf4, threatening Bxd6 and also freeing the a1 rook to joining the attack can't be stopped.
Dec-14-08  atahualpa yupanqui: thx Jim Bartle and i guess it make a lot of sense I was focus in the mate and I miss that...typical from a begginer we are just focus in the mate and we forget that we can win by intimidating the opponet using a strong attack
Dec-15-08  Jim Bartle: atahualpa: Do you by any chance have a roomful of gold, filled as high as you can reach, to lend me?

And don't take my suggestion as the absolute truth; it's just a possibility.

Nov-18-09  SharkBait: How about 10... Bf5 to protect the pawn and save the hanging Bishop? After 11 d5 then 11... Qd6
