Jul-15-04  patzer2: Akobian's 17. Ba6!! is a nice deflection sacrfice. If 17...bxa6, then 18. Rxc6! looks like a winning advantage for White.
Nov-02-04  shakespeare918: Cant he just take the rook back with his queen?
Nov-02-04  Shams: of course he can, but he loses the house to Qxb8+
Nov-03-04  shakespeare918: No I relised my error if I take back with the queen to take back the rook then he wins my queen by pinning my king to my queen b-b5.
Nov-04-04  shakespeare918: wait no if he takes back with the queen on move 18.Qxc6 then he dont lose anything cause he dont win the rook.and he would be up a rook for a knight and then attacking his bishop on a6 I knew I was right and why would he take back with b7 it is idiotic and suicdal but he he dose 18...Qxc6 he cant do anything!!That is why he did not do it patzer or Shams.
Nov-05-04  Shams: what are you saying? it`s not clear to me. give specific lines please.
Nov-05-04  shakespeare918: Look on move 18 instead of 18.be2 patzer is saying 18.rxc6 if white dose that then he just recaptures with his queen and wins in the exchange. It is that simple!
Nov-07-04  mparry: wow shakespeare u really dont get it do you? and shams is right i coudnt understand you when you were rambling on about some sacrifice

  Chessical: <17...bxa6> 18.Rxc6 Qd8(18...Qxc6? 19.Qxb8) 19.Qc3 0-0, seems to be playable for Black.
Nov-09-04  shakespeare918: move 18 black is already castled and if you take C6 with the rook then the QUEEN TAKES BACK AND THEN THE B file is not open how can white take any rook GOD IF YOU WOULD HAVE LOOKED I SAID THAT IT WAS MOVE 18 YOU ******s
Nov-09-04  shakespeare918: 18 make sure you are on move 18.rxc6 QUEENxc6 then what.U cant pin the queen cause blacks king is casteled and you CANT TAKE A ROOK ON B8

Chessical: <shakespeare918> Why not write down your line in regular notation so it is clear once and for all?
Nov-09-04  Saruman: <Chessical> I have but the same reaction as your picture :-)
Nov-09-04  acirce: <shakespeare918> is saying <instead of 18.be2 patzer is saying 18.rxc6> which is a misunderstanding.

<patzer2> actually said <If 17...bxa6, then 18. Rxc6!> In THAT position, Black has not castled.

Nov-09-04  Saruman: <shakespeare918> black has not castled yet!
Nov-09-04  shakespeare918: 17.bxa6 0-0 18.rxc6 Qxc6
