Oct-19-05  KingG: 23. ...Qxe5?? is a blunder, but Black's position isn't very nice anyway, although i don't see a forced win after 23. ...Qe7.
Oct-19-05  aw1988: Qe7 Nd6 isn't even worth playing.
Oct-19-05  aw1988: Hmm, on second thought...
Oct-19-05  KingG: <aw1988> I'm not claiming Black doesn't have a bad position after 23. ...Qe7, just that it would be defendable and Black could still hope for a draw.

LoveThatJoker: Here is my friend <Patriot>'s excellent and accurate analysis on the grand finale of this game that he originally posted on my forum:

<<>PATRIOT: For a while I wondered why black resigned. Of course the bishop is hanging and 27.Qd8# is threatened. So the recipe of saving both is 26...Bf8, right? I thought "What now?" 27.Rd8 Kxd8 28.Qxf8+ Qe8 and I didn't see the win. So the next idea... 27.Nd6. This hits the queen and threatens 28.Qxf7+. 27...Qd7 28.Qxf7+ Kd8 29.Qxf8+ Kc7 30.Ne8+ and the black queen is lost.>
