Jun-28-05  crafty: 14. b4 ♕c8 15. ♘b6 ♕c7 16. ♘xa8 ♗xa8 17. ♗a4 ♗b7   (eval -0.70; depth 14 ply; 1000M nodes)
Jun-28-05  Knight13: 14... Qxb5?? What kind of move is THAT!? I don't believe that Black didn't see 15. Nc7+ coming. 14... Qc8 is better, as Crafty pointed out. Also 13. Bxb5?! is unclear. I have no idea why White played 13. Bxb5.
Jun-28-05  farrooj: Qxb5 gets 3 pieces for the queen. This game is very interesting sacrifice wise but I'd prefer that another experienced kibitzer tells us the ideas behind these sacrifices (I'm not that good at analysing yet)
Jun-28-05  Knight13: <Qxb5 gets 3 pieces for the queen.> Yeah. I though Black just lost a queen. Forgot to count Black's minor pieces. :)
Jun-29-05  pawnstar3: Bxb5 sets up the discovered attack on the queen and is the beginning of the combination which wins the queen
Jun-30-05  farrooj: It doesn't win the queen, It gets a queen for 3 pieces.... And 3 pieces are usually better than a queen, so I dont know why black lost
Jun-30-05  molinov: I think 19.... Nd5 would have been an improvement.
Jul-04-05  shr0pshire: After move 22. axb3, I like black to at least draw here. With both rooks on the board the drawing chances go down, but white has double pawns on the B file which creates a permanent liabality for white. Hmm
Jul-04-05  shr0pshire: 22. ... h5?? I think a better move is Rhc8. This increases the activity of the rook, and will allow it to go down and attack whites pawns in the future. There is no need for h5 yet, because white's pawns are not a threat, and white's rooks are blocked in and are having trouble getting out. Activate your pieces!

I think that 22. ... h5 is the start of a bad plan for black's endgame that leads to her loss. She should have started out by activating her pieces, and wouldn't have been in such a cramped position late on.

Jul-11-05  crumpy: Move 14= What a classy sacrifice. Forcing the queen into a Royal Fork
