offramp: That was probably Alfred K Robinson 's suggestion.

This consultation game was played on the first day (3 November) of Lasker's engagement at the Franklin Chess Club in Philadelphia, which lastet about a week.

When the program was published in the BDE on 2 November, it was announced that <S.W. Bampton, M.Morgan and C.J. Newman> will oppose Lasker&Robinson.

The NY Times of 5 November reported <M.Morgan, Stuart and Shipley>; moreover Shipley played up to move 13, and <W. Newman> took his place in the evening session.

The BDE of 9 November gave <M.Morgan, D. Stuart and W.P. Shipley>, where <C.J. Newman replaced Shipley after move 14>. A similar note, but without initials (except of Morgan's M) appeared at the same day in the Chicago Tribune.

Whyld however gave <M.Morgan, D.S. Robinson and W.P.Shipley> plus <C.J. Newman> from move 15, and his source was the American Chess Weekly 1902, p 21 (a surprisingly small page number).

Summary: M.Morgan is for sure; Shipley played up to move 13 or 14. Stuart or D.Stuart, resp., is possibly David Stuart Robinson. And <C.J. Newman> seems to be more likely than <W.Newman>.
