Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-30-05  Unicornio: What a great fighting draw!!!!
Dec-30-05  ughaibu: What would you play next?
Dec-30-05  Unicornio: Since im not a 2700 Gm, i dont know for sure, but i would have tried at least some other 15 moves in order to try to finish with a +1 score.
Dec-30-05  ughaibu: Alright, you take black, I'll take white. Your move.
Dec-30-05  notyetagm: Next move? Ask for my Corus appearance fee, of course.
Dec-30-05  safar: <ughaibu: Alright, you take black, I'll take white. Your move.> How about 15...fRd8? What's your next move?
Dec-30-05  ughaibu: 16.Qe4 and offer another draw (joke).
Dec-30-05  aw1988: Nf6, and forfeit by leaving the playing hall.
Dec-30-05  ughaibu: 17.Qe5 and light a cigarette at the board.
Dec-30-05  aw1988: Qxe5 and blow cigarette smoke into the face of the opponent.
Dec-30-05  ughaibu: 18.fe5 shake the table with my knee. . . .
Dec-30-05  aw1988: Seeing that there truly is nothing left, offer a draw and get called a coward.
Dec-30-05  ughaibu: "Nothing left"?!? White's winning in a canter, no wonder Kramnik accepted the draw earlier. Unicornio needs his head examining.

Aw1988: Thanks for your help in performing this definitive experiment that has conclusively proved that Khalifman has a beard.

Dec-30-05  aw1988: Of course, I'm sure Unicornio, the master that he is, could trouve far better moves than I.
Dec-31-05  CowardlyKnight: What other player can match Kramnik's analytical powers? While us poor shmoes are looking for our next move he's already 50 moves ahead realizing the only possible outcome is a draw. His intellect is crushing.
Jan-01-06  JoeyCJK: <CowardlyKnight> LOL,yes Kramnik is an amazing player alright. He is able to exhaustively calculate that the first 50 moves after the starting position must be a draw. Truly out of this world. Lets not insult his power.
Jan-02-06  Unicornio: Kramnik is Draw Master, and this game give us a fine example of Kramnik drawing abilities, that like our 2 friends have said are truly amazing calculating when drawing.
Jan-21-06  Unicornio: Is awesome, Kramnik later said in a enterview that he really saw 16 moves ahead, and tought it was proper to offer a draw!!
Jan-21-06  ughaibu: It's Kramnik's move so the draw was offered by Khalifman and offered by Khalifman in an apparently better position. Why would Kramnik, in an inferior position as black, refuse the offer of a draw? Have you investigated the circumstances of this game in the context of the tournament?
