chrisowen: yeah at that age they bounce back quickly
Dec-15-06  Nightranger: < Poor Alekseev - after fighting for 109 moves against Nepomnyaschiy! > If he had just WON that game (and my 950 chessbucks).

chrisowen: maybe a trophy for DJs locker?
Dec-15-06  Scarecrow: Jakovenko should be better here. He's playing in the spirit of the final Fritz-Kramnik game with that rook on h3 and now (25. Bd4) offering an exchange of DSBs so he can capitalize on black's weak pawn structure (g6)! ;-)
Dec-15-06  ikipemiko: i think alexeev made a mistake with this 28..h5

Dec-15-06  Scarecrow: What about 32. exf5 Qxe3 33. fxg6 Qxf2 34. g7+ Kxg7 35. h8=Q+ ? :))

chrisowen: no probs nc4 good too
Dec-15-06  Scarecrow: <Qf6+>: Ng7 holds, but after 34. Nc4 Qd8 (or Qc7) 35. Nxd6! black cannot take the knight because 35...Qxd6 fails to 36. Qf6+ Ng7 37. Qxd6
Dec-15-06  Scarecrow: My engine doesn't like 34. Nf5 at all, now after 36...Ne6 black is more than OK
Dec-15-06  lazydaisy: hi. can someone plz tell me how many games will the tiebreak last?

chrisowen: that knight b3 might try to make up f5
Dec-15-06  Gryznx: this is pretty exciting!
Dec-15-06  Scarecrow: Now it's drawish. My comp says black went wrong with 42...Rc7, should have played Rb5 instead

Dec-15-06  Scarecrow: 49...Rh2+ 50. Kg1 Rxh5 and what does white do? 51. Rxb4 Rxf5 52. Rxg4 Rxf6 is a possibility and black looks winning
