Apr-13-08  percyblakeney: Korchnoi played well but missed the winning 37. Rh8, followed by for example Kh6 38. Nf5+ Kg6 39. g4 Nxf4+ 40. Kg3 and black can't avoid losing very soon because of the Rg8 threat:

37. Rh8 h6 38. Rg8 would maybe prolong it the most for black, but he will have to sacrifice his knight for the pawn on f4.

Apr-16-08  euripides: <minasina> thanks for these very useful links. The chesspro annotations are done by the game mostly by GMs and are usually candid and lively. The translation has some fine surrealist moments as well.
Apr-16-08  minasina: <euripides>, thanks for thanks. Positive feedback keeps me doing these. I have noticed that commentaries can be hard to find later on, so it is good to catch them right after tournaments. Hope that those Chesspro URLs are stable, lest commentaries do vanish.
