Jul-24-09  wanabe2000: While watching the game 42....h5! did not come to my mind. Nice draw by Fabiano Caruana against a top GM.
Jul-24-09  messachess: This seemed to be very advanced play by Caruna.--a significant accomplishment I suspect.
Jul-24-09  Winter: Nerve cracking up to the last 25 minutes of the game. Nice game...
Jul-25-09  kurtrichards: Caruana's hardwork and training are paying off. Keep it up young man.

Peligroso Patzer: A couple of interesting comments regarding this game posted on the tournament page (Biel International Chess Festival (2009)) were as follows:

<acirce: Rybka's 49.Rd8!? would have been very interesting. It involved sacrificing the c2-pawn in order for the king to advance into safety (!?) on the 7th-8th ranks and assisting in promoting the b-pawn. If the plan works, which is hard to make sure for a human, being pawn down doesn't matter at all as Black's [pawns] aren't advanced.>

<returnoftheking: *** Reminds one of Karjakin vs Movsesian, 2009 or is it just me?>
