Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-07-10  Nightsurfer: An inspiring attack by Alexandra Kosteniuk! The Sexy Chess Queen herself considers that match to be one of her masterpieces, therefore she has even produced a video that features the up-tempo match; the clip can be watched on youtube.com: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyeN... ... enjoy!
Nov-07-10  Nightsurfer: The wisdom of the books may refuse the way of answering White's neo-classic approach 4.Qc2 ... by brute force, namely with the combination of Bxc3+ & Ne4, thus giving up the Bishop's Pair without creating the doubled-pawn structure c3+c4 in White camp. But Sexy Chess Queen Alexandra Kosteniuk demonstrates that the early occupation of e4 by Black Horse can be very effective, thus justifying the foregoing strategy. Only few years later one more example that Bxc3+ & Ne4 can work against Qc2 in the Nimzo-Indian: S Mahendiran vs R Gralla, 2007 !
Aug-06-11  Nightsurfer: The Bxc3+/Ne4/f5-strategy - that has been led to victory by our striking Chess Beauty Alexandra Kosteniuk against Andreas Huss - has obviously inspired Austrian hopeful Michaela Kessler: E Pavlidou vs M Kessler, 2009

Both Alexandra Kosteniuk, the Glamour Girl of Chess, and Austrian Michaela Kessler have demonstrated that the Ne4/f5-attack unit that gets crucial support by Black Bishop b7 via the diagonal a8-h1 can swiftly shatter the White fortress.

They get - virtual - support by a big shot like Michael Adams who supports the Bxc3+/Ne4/f5-Matrix as well: Agrest vs Adams, 2001

One more fan of the Bxc3+/Ne4/f5-approach against the Anti-Nimzo-Indian 4.Qc2 ... is the German player Rene Gralla, and the result are the two miniatures as follows: S Mahendiran vs R Gralla, 2007 and A Ertelt vs R Gralla, 2011 ...

Therefore the Bxc3+/Ne4/f5-approach against the Anti-Nimzo-Indian 4.Qc2 ... is worth a try!

Aug-07-11  Nightsurfer: After replaying this game here <A Huss vs A Kosteniuk, Silvaplana 2003>, it is interesting to note that in case that Black army can occupy h3 by cavalry - while Black Bishop b7 controls the vital diagonal a8/h1 - that can be deadly for White King, please compare E Pavlidou vs M Kessler, 2009 !

In case that Black Bishop b7 controls the diagonal a8/h1 - thus supporting a Black assault unit of Cavalry (Ne4) and Hovercraft-Battleship (Queen) - , the firepower of those elite units combined can even enable the Commander-in-Chief of Black army to sacrifice his best unit, the Queen, for the sake of finishing-off White King by a cavalry unit that rushes to h3, please watch M Boskan vs R Gralla, 2006 ... and enjoy!
