Jan-26-11  arnaud1959: I think Grischuk is in his "poker" mood. this game is not serious at all.
Jan-26-11  supertimchan: What's wrong with the Russian number 3 in this game? How could he make a 1400-type blunder????
Jan-27-11  zealouspawn: where is the 1400 type blunder? Seems like a complicated game to me

perfidious: <arnaud1959> Not sure what to make of your comment, but I will tell you this: if you think Grischuk, or someone such as myself, who has played poker professionally, aren't 'serious' when we sit down to play, that's utterly laughable. Both of us have played poker (and chess) with some of the best anywhere, and it's hard enough to succeed when totally focused, much less when other things are on one's mind.
Feb-07-11  MountainMatt: I may not know what I'm talking about, but black's opening looks much too passive to me. White has good control of the center by move 4, and maintains the better position throughout the game. Very instructive game!
Feb-15-11  ReikiMaster: 26...Rc8 looks good for black. 39...Rb3 may still give half a chance.
Apr-10-11  Rick360: Forgive this seemingly dumb question, but an immediate win isn't apparant to this 1750 rated player. Is there a Zugzvang in the near future for Black?

tamar: Not too many moves for Black, as the knight protects d6, the bishop prevents h4-h5 and the King has no moves that do not allow mate.

White just sticks his Queen on f7, and takes advantage of whatever Black moves

For example, 43...Bh4 44 Qf7 Bf6 45 Qg8 Bg7 46 h4 Bf6 47 h5 gxh5 48 Qf7 and eventually f5 falls and any hope for a fortress is gone.
