HeMateMe: A nice game of maneuvre, a long middle game.
Mar-02-11  Robed.Bishop: Humpy handed Elina her first loss of the tournament and closed the gap for the lead a bit.
Mar-02-11  Blunderdome: Questionable finish.
Mar-02-11  stst: 1. Bk's N jumped to the edge, not once, but twice, for no deep purpose, wasting time.

2. Bk's Rs got into wrong positions wrt W's passing P. Rs should go right against or behind the P.

3. The final R move is a blunder, Bk did not see W's Q+. Such mistake is hard to imagine of any contender for world class chess, though she's a lady.

4. Bk did not spring out any kind of plan, nor any counter-attack, too passive all the way.

5. Bk is out of form from her previous games - maybe she's too tired? or some "fear" of the top "seed" ? Did not look like it's the same Elina in all previous games.

6. A disappointed game - expecting some fierce fight, and the finish, even losing, should be much closer.

Mar-03-11  Robed.Bishop: <stst: 3. The final R move is a blunder, Bk did not see W's Q+. Such mistake is hard to imagine of any contender for world class chess, though she's a lady.>

"...though she's a lady." Wow, really?

perfidious: <Blunderdome>, <stst> In any case, Black had no good way to stop the monster passed pawn, as 40....Qd8 is met by 41.Ba5.
Mar-03-11  AGOJ: Probably time trouble at the end.
Mar-04-11  Blunderdome: Maybe 40...Rc1
Mar-17-11  ReikiMaster: Harsh words for the two winners of the tournament. 28...Qb7 looks ok. Now 29.d5 looks interesting. 36...Qd7 was worth a try. A must win for Humpy!
