Jun-02-18  Pedro Fernandez: Sorry, but I think 18.Qe2 is inferior than 18.Be2 with the idea to dispute an open row.

  Dionysius1: That seems right - wouldn't interposing the ♘ win a pawn after 20.♗xd5 ♗xd5 21. ♘f4 ♗e6 ?

  Dionysius1: Nice one <ChessHigherCat>! I won't bother telling you about my ♘ with the ♗ then :-)

ChessHigherCat: <Dionysus> Yeah, I would have just traded bishops with Bd5 instead of interposing the knight. Bg4 was a GM-type move that wouldn't have crossed my pedestrian mind, even at the pedestrian crossing.

ChessHigherCat: <Bacchus> I should know this by now but where do you get those chesspiece symbols. I wanted to say that with all you see on the news these days I wouldn't be surprised if the Bishop was a Queen.
Jun-02-18  Pedro Fernandez: This is total equality, Carlsen did not want to fight to win.
Jun-02-18  Ulhumbrus: It may be that Anand has defended the position very well, as well as only a few players could have done.

An Englishman: Good Morning: Looks as if the only remaining question consists of how to arrange a draw by repetition.

Dionysius1: Easy enough - just put the text you want to be symbolized in squirrelly brackets. It'll cope nicely with a mixture of English and notation, so you don't have to get too finicky.

ChessHigherCat: Carlsen never had a big advantage, there was just the weakness on b7, and Anand being ex-World Champ himself solved that problem readily.

<Sneaky> You should be grateful you found a place where you can enter the same stagnant video stream twice, thereby refuting Heraclitus.

ChessHigherCat: Dionysus: It tried it with queen <queen> and [queen] (queen). What's strange is {} disappeared in the preview box.

Dionysius1: For me "With all you see on the news these days I wouldn't be surprised if the open squiggly bracket B was a Q close squiggly bracket" becomes "With all you see on the news these days I wouldn't be surprised if the ♗ was a ♕"
Jun-02-18  Pedro Fernandez: I do not know why, but I think Carlsen underestimates Anand's intelligence, just saying.

ChessHigherCat: How dare you say that??? Even if I was thin♔ it myself. I get it, you just put the one-letter symbol in squirrely brackets, not the name of the piece. Thanks!

ChessHigherCat: Hi <Pedro>, I think Carlsen must be in absolute awe of Anand after studying all his masterpieces while he was growing up. Why do you think he doesn't respect him?
Jun-02-18  Pedro Fernandez: Hi <CHC>. Of course I agree with you about the admiration that Carlsen should feel about Anand when kid. Also I admit I'm being a bit radical, but buddy, who can win this? (e.g.)

For the same reason you're telling me, Carlsen should agree the draw. But anyway, thanks for your scolding, lol! Greetings.

ChessHigherCat: <Pedro> I see, you mean MC should have offered a draw earlier. Maybe, but MC is famous for winning "drawn games" even with the best.

No querría regañarte, perdón!

ChessHigherCat: Also, with these "Sophia" rules the
players can't offer a draw or even talk to each other!
Jun-02-18  JPi: 6.a3!? is clever but why not 9.Bd3 putting both Bishops on more ambitious diagonals...?
Jun-02-18  DonPepe: I don’t think these two ever talk to each other. Not even one word. Like...
