Mar-21-19  Ulhumbrus: 25...Ba4 threatens ...Bc2

offramp: After seeing Alpha Zero's games I now agree with that old phrase that "The worst bishop is better than the best knight."
Mar-21-19  Ulhumbrus: If White can reply to 25...Ba4 with 26 Nc5 this suggests preparing ...Ba4 by playing 25...b6 first.

offramp: After 25...Ba4 Black is threatening to win a pawn with ...Bc2.
Mar-21-19  Ulhumbrus: After 26...Bc6 White's N on e4 seems not to be able to do much while Black's bishop seems considerably more threatening
Mar-21-19  Ulhumbrus: If Black does not play 27...Ne3 White may play 28 Nc4.

Sally Simpson: A flurry of moves just now. Knights on e4 and c4 but will it repeat out to a draw.
Mar-21-19  Ulhumbrus: Black's king's rook is out of play. If after 29...Rxc1 30 Rxc1 White is playing a rook ahead on the queen side this suggests that Black may get into trouble. This suggests that 29...Rc6-c8! is a good decision.

Sally Simpson: Waiting to see White's frame of mind.

Does he offer 3 fold draw with Nc4 or play something else.

Sally Simpson: White has gone back to c4...clock here looks bad for Black...draw?

Sally Simpson: He has gone Ke2...mind games v an opponent in T.T. (if the times here are correct.) but now b5 means the Knight cannot go back to c4.
Mar-21-19  Ulhumbrus: 33...Ne3 attacks the g2 pawn

HeMateMe: white can lose if he opens up the kingside. he can't allow that Knight to get to e3. I would guess a handshake is coming soon.

Nc6+ Ke8 Nf6+ Kf8 then move the c6 Knight and there is a hook mate/perpetual (not sure) in there.

HeMateMe: I think opening up the game favored black. He now has several targets on the board.
Mar-21-19  Russo: Talk about a cliff hanger.
Mar-21-19  BOSTER: White wins an exchange.

Sally Simpson: I thought so, now it's closer to the position I was thinking about the BK has h6 and I do not think White can force the BK onto e7 with Rh8+ and Rh7+ it's a hook mate perpetual. (a term I've just made up).

43...Nxd4 which leads to the same idea.

Does 43...Na7 allow a later Nc8-e7 and a mate in there.

Mar-21-19  ChessHigherCat: White has a perpet with Ng4 and whether the King goes to h5 or h7, Nf3
Mar-21-19  ChessHigherCat: Sorry, Nf6

Sally Simpson: It's gone that way with Nc8. The f5 Knight stops every trick I can see.

White has a 3 fold rep when ever he wants. Is he fishing for a panic blunder.

Mar-21-19  ChessHigherCat: It turned into a draw faster than you can say "Varuzhan Eduardovich Akobian" after drinking a couple pints of scotch.
Mar-21-19  BOSTER: With white pawn on g5 insted e5 the picture was more interesting.
