Aug-01-12  Karpova: Dr. (MD) Palitzsch died of an infection.

He was born in Dresden and went to the 'Staatsgymnasium Neustadt'. He studied medicine at the universities in Freiburg (Breisgau), Wroclaw, Munich and Berlin. He earned his doctorate in 1914 and soon afterwards served as an army doctor at the battleground in France. After the war, he worked for some time at a hospital in Johannstadt, married in 1919 and then became a self-employed doctor. He was a famous problem composer.
