Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-08-04  Knight13: The Light Squared Bishop pins the Knight because of the King, while The Dark Squared Bishops Pins the Knight for avoiding loss of the Queen.

A Bishop is for the diagonal. A Knight is for forks and sneaky squares.

Dec-08-04  aw1988: No, this is what a Bishop is for: Topalov vs Shirov, 1998
Dec-08-04  Knight13: <aw1988> Yes. Bishop is useful for diagonals, as in the game Topalov vs Shirov, 1998 that you've showed. That's my idea! ;)
Dec-08-04  Knight13: <aw1988> I foget to thank you for showing that game!
Dec-08-04  Milo: And when it gets in your way, it's easily disposed of!
Dec-09-04  Dillinger: <Bishop is useful for diagonals> Ohhhh, right, I knew that....(pulls bishop out of mouth)
Dec-09-04  aw1988: Lol, Dillinger. Good advice. I'll eat the captured pieces at tournament games from now on.

BishopBerkeley: I feel so at home here, like they have a table specially reserved for me :)
Dec-10-04  Dillinger: Ever feel like there's somewhere you really need to be, but it's on a square of the opposite color? Such is the life of a bishop...
Dec-15-12  Calli: Poor guy, he can only move diagonally.
