Mr. Babson, John Henderson & Richard P Fleming. Charles Babson was a famous chess composer and J. N. Babson wrote a chess column for the Herald during 1892-4 in Canada. John Henderson edited a chess column for the Montreal Gazette for a short time.

Aug-02-14  ljfyffe: Joseph Babson played in the 1894 Canadian Chess Championship. Richard Fleming won the Canadian championship in 1889. John Henderson played in the 1876 and 1881 Canadian championships.
Aug-02-14  ljfyffe: Henderson also played in the 1873,1874,1875,1877, 1878,1879,1882, and 1884 Canadian Chess Championships.
