I've been playing in the World vs GM games since the Kasparov game Kasparov vs The World, 1999

It was fun playing in this game, which was published as one of the greatest correspondence games in Tim Harding's book Hao Yin vs The World, 2001

I enjoyed the privilege of playing on one of the first World teams to defeat a GM de Firmian vs The World, 2002

I'm looking forward to the Chessgames Challenge games.

A bit of friendly advice for our future opponents:

< You will have to play to win if you want to distinguish yourself from the GM's and World Champions we have defeated or played to a draw. Otherwise, we will simply continue our undefeated streak. >

Enjoy!

DPLeo: Does anyone know why Nepo has to play Ding or anyone for that matter? If I remember correctly, Karpov became World Champion by default when Fischer refused to play. Shouldn't Nepo just become World Champion by default?

DPLeo: I was rooting for Caruana to be the new World Champion. Even so, I can still objectively say that there should be no question that Carlsen is the best chess player on the planet as evidenced by: #1 Classic rating - 2835 #1 Rapid rating    - 2902 #1 Blitz rating   ...

DPLeo: I'd be very interested in knowing if Carlsen saw and was worried about 68... Bh4! Did he foresee the zug? Did he breathe a sigh of relief when 68... Nf3 was played? Did he breathe a bigger sigh of relief when the draw was agreed?

DPLeo: These are only 10 sample games as listed in the referenced paper. The match was 100 games with many draws. Stockfish 8 did not win any games but I wouldn't read too much into it because the time control was 1 minute per move. I would love to see the outcome of a match with full time ...
