Nov-06-08  Xeroxx: Zuerst!
Nov-06-08  FHBradley: <Xeroxx:> Glückwunsch. Das war ein toller Auftritt!
Nov-06-08  KOCMOHAYT: wer ist die Beste Manschaft? Wo kann man Programm von Ereignissen finden?
Nov-06-08  Pyke: <Kocmohayt> Versuch's doch mal hier:

http://www.schachbundesliga.de/

Nov-06-08  Pyke: <Kocmohayt> And OSG Baden seems to be fairly strong; considering the players and the current rankings.
Nov-06-08  Pyke: By the way, Shirov (OSG Baden) seems to be in bad form.

Out of his first four games he only scored one and a half points!

Nov-06-08  KOCMOHAYT: <Pyke> Danke sehr!
Nov-06-08  Pyke: <Kocmohayt> Gern geschehn :-)
Nov-06-08  wolfmaster: Hute faw rein ent?
Nov-06-08  waustad: <wolfmaster>That reminds me of what I used to read in the Wiener Kronen Zeitung when they had an item called Wiener Spruch. It was in dialect and was very hard for a non-native reader to figure out.

Es ist schon 30 Jahre seit ich habe viele deutsche gesprochen. Es ist schwer fur mich.

Nov-07-08  swordfish: Ist heute ruhe Tag?
Nov-07-08  wolfmaster: <waustad> Feine einte wo shechi?
Nov-07-08  OneArmedScissor: i hob di voi lieb
Nov-07-08  Pyke: I hope you all really know what you are saying ;-)

<Swordfish> there are more "Ruhe Wochen" (rest weeks) than "Ruhe Tage" (rest days)

<Wolfmaster> You must be from Austria because you have an atrocious dialect are absolutely not comprehendable ;-) j/k

<One armed scissor> You're obviously (considering your dialect) a Bavarian. PEACE!

<waustad> Your german is pretty good! Keep it up...

P.S. Don't take the post too serious ... ;-) *grin*

Nov-16-08  herby rawley: when i was in deutchland 1954-56 as a
soldier, as a result of Yiddish I had a leg up on understanding German..I ran the Officers club in the GRAND HOTEL in Bad Nauheim. had an argument with a German civilian bartender in German and off the cuff I said to him
Vas bist du hier der ubersheismeister
we both fell out and he used it after a lot.. did it enter the language ?? have I left a legacy???
Nov-16-08  whiteshark: Drööm ik vun miene Kinnertied, vun't Öllernhuus, vun manche lang begrob'ne Lüüd, vun Frünn, vun Spoos, den ik so hatt - drööm ik op Platt!
Dec-02-08  whiteshark: Three days after the Chess Olympiad in Dresden the German "Schachbundesliga" opened its doors again for some new first-class chess encounters. The fifth, sixth and some pairings of the seventh round took place at four venues. The German champion Baden-Baden organizes his first home games this season and maintained it's leadership in the table with convincing wins. With many olympic contenders Baden-Baden is the clear favourite for the titel. In Emsdetten one of the most exciting pairings took place. The runner-up Muelheim encountered the team of Bremen who started badly in the season with some unexpected losses against lower rated teams and this continued with a 5.5-2.5 win for Muelheim. In Munich the host team failed to achieve his first points in this season against the teams of the west Solingen and Wattenscheid.

Standing so far:

[rank, club, rounds played, team points, board points]

1 OSG Baden-Baden 7 14 42,0
2 SC Kreuzberg 7 11 34,5
3 SV Muelheim-Nord 6 10 32,5
4 SC Eppingen 7 10 30,0
5 TV Tegernsee 6 10 29,0
6 SG Aljechin Solingen 7 9 30,5
7 Werder Bremen 7 9 30,0
8 SV Wattenscheid 7 8 30,5
9 Hamburger SK 7 6 25,5
10 SC Remagen 7 5 28,0
11 SF Katernberg 6 5 23,0
12 SF Berlin 7 5 22,0
13 SK Turm Emsdetten 7 4 25,0
14 SG Trier 7 2 21,0
15 USV TU Dresden 7 0 14,5
16 FC Bayern Muenchen 6 0 14,0

Dec-17-08  notyetagm: So who is tearing up the Bundesliga this year? Anyone know?

A few years ago IM Andrew Greet went <11/11> in the 4NCL!

Dec-17-08  shintaro go: Well so far Svidler has 4 points out of 5 games.
Dec-18-08  notyetagm: <shintaro go: Well so far Svidler has 4 points out of 5 games.>

Thanks

Jan-05-09  waustad: Vallejo Pons is at +4.
Jan-05-09  waustad: Naiditsch is at +5!
Feb-10-09  waustad: Naiditsch is now at +6. He must be on a lower board since his opponents are all lower rated, sometimes by a lot. He isn't playing the Svidlers or Shirovs.
Feb-26-09  whiteshark: Zur Info:
