Is there really live coverage of the games on the official website. I could not find such a link there.

Apr-19-08  Karpova: <Peligerioso Patzer> There's a picture of a camera above the links to rules, biographies, etc. The camera seems to be the link.
Apr-19-08  Red October: Judit should win this
Apr-19-08  Red October: unless the BOCs can help draw ?
Apr-19-08  badest: Topa just won with white.

Open Defence: I thought Judit had a great position what happened ?
Apr-19-08  Knight13: Topalov'll win this.
Apr-19-08  badest: Topa just won with black...
Apr-19-08  geobel: Topa won and second game
Apr-19-08  geobel: His position was really dubious ,but Topa ia Topa

Thanks <Karpova> for the assist there! ;)

<Peligerioso Patzer> - if the 'Live games' was either hidden or not easy to find I certainly would have pointed that out... However with the Video Camera icon flashing <"Live games"> and <"Partadis de directo"> thought it would be rather hard to miss! ~lol~ :-)

Hoping Judit can win at least one... :) Of course, I was rather surprised yesterday what short work Vallejo made of Shirov yesterday! In any event it looks like the Finals tomorrow will feature the two <hottest> players! <grin> :^) - Mal

Apr-19-08  badest: Third game is a draw...
Apr-19-08  nmchessknight: wow... Polgar won

Thanks to both of you, <Karpova> and <malthrope>.

For some reason, that part of the official site's home page does not load on my computer. I just get a blank field there.

Sorry for the confusion. Your posts are always informative, helpful and all-round excellent, <malthrope>.

Well in that case I'm very glad <Karpova> also gave the precise link location on the official website, so that you could pick it up with the mouse. As it's a pop-up window leading to the Live games with webcam.

Thanks <Peligerioso Patzer> - that was very kind of you to say... :)) - Mal

Peligroso Patzer: I still cannot access the live coverage through the official page.

Could someone post a link to the "live" site in this thread so that I can follow the games in the final tomorrow?

Apr-19-08  malthrope: <Peligroso Patzer: I still cannot access the live coverage through the official page. [...]>

Sure! ;) I just posted them on my Profile in <Current CHESS Events>...

Here it is for you... // http://88.27.240.230/

You should have no problems now. :^) - Mal

Apr-19-08  wolfmaster: Wow, here were my predictions:

Vallejo-Shirov Shirov 2.5-1.5
Polgar-Topalov Topalov 3-1
Shirov-Topalov Topalov 2.5-1.5

Apr-19-08  pawnofdoom: <wolfmaster> Yea, I would have agreed with you. I was shocked when I heard that Shirov lost to Vallejos
Apr-19-08  unsound: If you look at how convincingly Vallejo won with the Caro-Kann, you'll be even more shocked (it's quite a spectacular game, actually): Shirov vs Vallejo-Pons, 2008
Apr-20-08  Kreifi: Humm, live page doesnt seem to be working at my computer. Java is ok. Wheres the problem? Anyone?
