Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-25-09  Billy Vaughan: Good to see Bacrot still has some fight in him.
Sep-25-09  LaFreak III: Howell he perform this tourney..
Sep-25-09  Riverbeast: Go Sutovsky!

I hope you win this tournament and go over 2700, it's long overdue

Sep-26-09  DCP23: Something's wrong with Bartosz Socko. Why didn't he beat David Howell like everybody else?
Sep-26-09  percyblakeney: Muzychuk did well to finish with an even score and a 2600+ performance in spite of missing wins against Timman and Stefanova.
Sep-26-09  siamesedream: <Something's wrong with Bartosz Socko. Why didn't he beat David Howell like everybody else?> But he won against top seeded Bacrot... Great job!

¦wietna robota, Bartek!

Congratulations to GM Emil Sutovsky for winning the tournament.

Sep-26-09  Thuellin: Is Muzychuk getting a GM norm? It's hard to believe she's not a GM yet -- her rating has been 2500+ for over a year.
Sep-26-09  percyblakeney: <Is Muzychuk getting a GM norm?>

I think so, it has to be 3 GM opponents and a 2600 performance, and here she played 8 GMs and performed 2616.

Sep-26-09  sugardoom: GM Sutovsky must credit GM Kamsky, for his sucess on this tournament.
Sep-27-09  slomarko: and why is that?
Sep-27-09  sugardoom: <slomarko>

because Sutovsky is the one who benefited most from his collaboration with Kamsky, not the other way around.

Sep-27-09  slomarko: how do you know that?
Sep-27-09  sugardoom: Just look at the results of the two afterwards and draw your conclusion.
Sep-27-09  frogbert: sugardoom, sutovsky <lost> 25,3 points in the serbian league (that ended right before the inventi event started) - that is <much more> than he gained in this event.

i'd say sutovsky simply looks uneven - there's no evidence of sudden over-all improvement. :o)

Sep-27-09  sugardoom: I stand corrected <frogbert>,I forgot about the serbian league.

But in truth,my observation on Sutovsky is just for fun, sort of a joke, humor.

Sep-27-09  frogbert: i considered it a joke, too - however, it didn't stop me from reminding you about the serbian league. :o)
Sep-28-09  kurtrichards: Emil Sutovski wins Inventi Chess Tournament.
