London Chess Classic Open (2019)

The 11th London Chess Classic FIDE Open was a 9-round Swiss taking place alongside the London Chess Classic GCT Finals (2019) in the Olympia Conference Centre in Kensington, London, from 29 November to 6 December 2019. There was no rest day, and rounds 2 & 3 were played on the same day (30 November). Time control: 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes to the end of the game, with 30 seconds added per move from move one. The first prize was £4,000. Organizer: Chess in Schools and Communities (CSC). Tournament director and chief arbiter: Alex Holowczak.

The 14-year-old Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa won on tiebreak ahead of Anton Smirnov, both with 7.5/9.
