Introduction
London Chess Club.—An interesting match is in progress at this club, between Herr Steinitz and Mr. V. Green; the winner of the first five (sic) games to be declared victor. Present score:—Herr Steinitz, 1; Mr. Green, 0; drawn, 1. (1)

Conclusion
Steintiz and Green.—This match has terminated in favour of the first-named gentleman, who carried all before him, scoring seven games and drawing two. The games were played at the spacious rooms of the London Chess Club, Cornhill. (2)
