The 51st Torneo Internacional Capablanca in Memoriam - Grupo Premier was played from 9-19 June 2016 in Hotel Arenas Blancas in Varadero, province of Matanzas, Cuba. Rest days: June 14 and 18. Time controls: 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, 30 minutes for the remaining moves, with a 30-second increment starting from move 1. The 15-year-old GM Jeffery Xiong won with 6.5/9.
