Jun-18-16  diagonal: It should be stressed, that the 8th Lublin GM tournament was a <Poland vs Europe match> (Scheveningen System).

David Navara as individual best scored 4/6 including a win in the decisive final round which led to a narrow win of the European Team: http://theweekinchess.com/chessnews...

  Sneaky: Could somebody explain this?

<A three-fold repetition of position before move 40 does not count as a double-sided loss, but other traditional draws (before move 40) may score as such.>

Hate to sound cynical, but it sounds like something that a non-chessplayer would come up with.

Jun-19-16  gauer: Assuming a correct translation of Article X occurred, http://szachy.lublin.pl/arc2016/ind... explains all - it's no wonder that none were playing for any early stalemate tricks nor agreed draws early on before the secondary time-control kicked in.
