Korchnoi Zurich Chess Challenge (Opening Blitz) (2017)

The Korchnoi Zurich Chess Challenge (2017) started with an opening ceremony and blitz tournament held in the Hotel Zavoy Baur en Ville on Wednesday 12 April. The eight players, who included former World Champions Vladimir Kramnik and Viswanathan Anand, played each other once. The time control was 4 minutes per player for all moves, with a 2-second increment from move 1. The results determined the pairings in the main event Korchnoi Zurich Chess Challenge (2017), but did not count for the final standings. (1)
