Introduction
The "Glowworm" Prize, open to British players only. the proprietors of this paper present £25 to be played for in two prizes, £20 and £5. The number of games, and the mode or pairing, will depend on the number of the combatants. Entrance free. (1)

The Glowworm tournament was brought to a termination last Saturday. By winning on this occasion from Mr Lord, Mr MacDonnell becomes the gainer of the first Glowworm prize, and Mr Wisker remains entitled to the second. (2)
