Introduction
The Manhattan Chess Club has organized its annual double round championship tournament, with seven competitors, namely: Messrs. D. G. Baird, Davidson, Hanham, Malzahn, Ryan, Storck and De Visser. (1)
In the championship tournament of the club which is drawing to a close, Messrs. D. G. Baird and H. Davidson are leading. (2)
The Championship Tourney is nearly finished. Mr. D. G. Baird has not lost a game and wins the Championship. The few remaining games will not affect this result. (3)
Mr. D. G. Baird has won the championship tournament of the Manhattan Chess Club for the year. Mr. H. Davidson stands second in the score. (4)
