Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-02-08  pawnofdoom: Wow. Congrats to Stevic. Unfortunately, the only player here Ive heard of before was Kozul
Feb-02-08  cade: Interesting play by Stevic with all his draws very short and all his other games being decisive. I would recommend he fights it out more.
Feb-02-08  THE pawn: <all his draws very short and all his other games being decisive.>

I really don't wanna spoil your fun, but if it's not a draw, the game has to be decisive ;)

Feb-02-08  percyblakeney: Not a good tournament for Kozul, it's less than two years since he won the European Championship ahead of Ivanchuk, and now he finished 11th of 13 as the highest rated player in the Croatian Championship.
Feb-04-08  cade: <I really don't wanna spoil your fun, but if it's not a draw, the game has to be decisive ;)>

You do know such a thing as a long draw exists right? Or are you unaware that a long game can end in a draw?

Feb-04-08  brankat: <cade> THE pawn is a true gentleman. He is in a habit of resigning early :-)
Feb-05-08  Pianoplayer: <brankat> HUh?
Feb-05-08  DevastatioN: <cade> He was making fun of the logic, the exact quote is "All his draws were very short and all his other games (aka being non-draws by the logic presented) were decisive" meaning if it was a draw, it was short, and if it wasn't a draw, it was decisive.

All non-draws are decisive :)

Feb-06-08  brankat: It's really a matter of a linguistic "aerobics". When the last move is made, a decision (result) has been reached: win, lose or draw. So, a Draw is a decisive outcome, too :-)
Oct-06-24  cameosis: <brankat> on the other hand, a draw in croatian is called »undecided« (neriješeno) …
