Dr. Samuel Jacoby games
Samuel Jacoby
===
From a 1911-01-22 Philidelphia Inquirer article (p7), by way of Emil Kemeny, we have a new Kolisch game with this player.
And we also learn his initials, Dr. S, and his birthdate of ~1846.
I should also mention that <Schachzeitung v25 (1870) p234> writes of his having been invited <Baden-Baden (1870)> (though he ultimately does not attend):

More from the Inquirer:
<Mr. Kemeny writes that Dr. Jacoby was one of the most distinguished and brilliant Hungarian amateurs. He was invited to participate in the Baden tourney of 1870. Dr. Jacoby states that at that time games won by amateurs against leading professionals were frequently not published by the amateurs out of courtesy to their opponents. Times, however, have changed somewhat ...>

Jul-31-15 zanzibar: Dr. Samuel Jacoby should be remembered as Maroczy's mentor:
<Geza Maroczy was born at and after studying there and school at Zurich he became librarian of the Hungarian Society in the latter city. Here he had an opportunity to learn the game of chess. Later on he became a government official at Budapest, andIt was In this city where he began to study the game thoroughly, his teacher being the well known amateur, Dr. S. Jacoby. He took the first prize in a minor tourney in connection with the international congress at Hastings in 1895, and thereby established for himself an international reputation. Since that time he was placed in all the International tournaments. He took part at Vienna, London, Paris and Budapest. Marjoczy is looked upon as one of the finest strategists of the world, and he is principally known for his brilliant aggressive play. His victory is popular.>
