Chess Game Collections
[what is this?] --*-- [what is this?]

  1. Man vs. Machine: A chronology
A (personal) selection of games between men and computers. To think back over a long struggle, from the days when computers had no hopes to the current engine supremacy.
    33 games, 1963-2014

  2. Old men (and women) vs. time
A collection of games won by old (70+) GMs against much younger (50-) good players (indicatively with a minimum elo of around 2200). I've generally selected only one game for player, with some notable exceptions. I've also included few interesting games played between old legends. Correspondence and simul games have not been considered.

    * Fredthebear has a nice collection about this theme: Game Collection: Senior Citizen Slapshots

** I have also created an Appendix to this collection: Game Collection: Old men vs. time - Appendix

    84 games, 1798-2021

  3. Old men vs. time - Appendix
When searching for games to include in my Game Collection: Old men (and women) vs. time , I found different good games played by old men (and women) which didn't have all the characteristics required to be included in the collection (player was not a GM or a pre-1950 top player, he/she was one or two years younger than the limit age of 70 I had set, the opponent elo rating was lower than 2200, and so on…). As these games, in my opinion, still represent very good performances by these aged players, I have created this additional collection.
    109 games, 1863-2020

  4. Spassky's KG!
Boris Spassky is the only post-WWII top GM who played the King's Gambit with a certain regularity. This collection reports all his King's Gambit games included in the database.
    33 games, 1955-2001
