Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-27-05  Hidden Skillz: according to lasker black missed stalemate on move 40.. correct play would be 40.. h4 41.b7 Rb2 42.Kc5 Rxb7 43.Bxb7 h3 (if gxh3 black has accomplished the stalemate by driving his king to h8.. and if the pawn doesnt capture both pawns would have been lost)
Feb-13-06  dakgootje: The last move would be a nice tuesday puzzle, as i think most people would play 44. ♔c7
Feb-14-06  Hidden Skillz: yea true but for a sat-sun puzzle it would be 40..h4 i would say
Feb-14-06  Autoreparaturwerkbau: <dakgootje> You have a point. Nice find.
Feb-14-06  slapwa: Even after 42. …. Rxb7; 43. Bxb7, Kg4 wouldn’t it have been a draw? e.g. 44. Kd4, Kg3 45. Ke3, h4 46. Ke2, h3.
Feb-14-06  Dres1: Slapwa, no because white just plays Bc8 and keeps his pawn.
