  tamar: I like the move 29...♕d2!! ignoring Anderssen's threats. Harrwitz played a great positional game ( ♗ on d5, ♘ on f5-g3 leading to this shot. Too bad he missed 31...♖b8 which leads to unavoidable mate.
Jan-31-05  mirunik: what about 31....rb8 32. h3!? .... and i can't see mate you ????
Jan-31-05  sneaky pete: <mirunik> I suppose you mean (after 31... Rb8) 32.Kh2.. which is of no use after 32... Qf2 when white is helpless against the threat Rb8-b1-h1#.
Feb-11-05  mirunik: dear sneaky pete... as you see i just type wrong move... h3 had been already done.... i just want to wrote 31 ..rb8 32. h4!? after that 32.. qf2 is not mated imidiatly !!! cause of 33. kh3 ! and what you gonna do now ?? i can't still see the way to mate white king... you ???? I confess that white's position is indefensible, but there is no imidiate mate.... i think... prove me vice-versa
May-05-05  WorldChampeen: By chance, are the sequence of moves;

1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.exd5 exd5 4.c4

An individually known opening? I kind of thought maybe it was the one called the Barry (Milner) Gambit or something like that.

May-05-05  sneaky pete: <mirunik> Only saw your post just now, find your analysis still a bit mysterious. If 31... Rb8 32.h4!? Qf2+?! 32.Kg1-h3 .. wouldn't be a legal move, but 32.Kg1xf2 .. looks okay. After 31... Rb8 32.h4 .. however black plays 32... Rb1+ 33.Kh2 Nf1+ 34.Kh3 Rb3+ when the white king can't escape.
Jul-27-05  pawnQueenblack: 20. ... Nh4!
21. f3?! Rb6!!
22. Bxb5 Rg6
Blacks win
