Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-09-07  RookFile: It takes a Petrosian to play the Petrosian system. The rest play like this against Fischer and lose.
Mar-10-08  Helios727: I think 23. Rc3 and 26. Rf1 were mistakes.
Jul-16-10  jerseybob: 18.Nce4 has been recommended over the text.

fredthebear: 26.Rf1 appears to be logical in expectation of BxNe4, but then comes the shift to en prise bait 26...Bg4! This re-arrangement is a cross pin game changer after the zwischenzug 27...RxRf1+. Black ends up winning the exchange with permanent penetration of White's weak squares.

Fix the count to tie down the (White) defenders to guard duty, then change the count to advantage (shift attackers to create a different or second weakness causing the defense to trip over itself trying to react). This thematic approach of attackers vs. defenders often applies to the protection of a backward or isolated pawn, which frequently becomes pinned.

This is one for our friend <notyetagm>!

Nov-18-23  Richangles: Fischer was a tank as early as 17. Great game
