Mar-23-25  tbontb: Alekhine as Black varies with the QGA and soon obtains a clear advantage from the opening when Bogoljubow plays inexactly in a sharp variation (better 7.a4) and is objectively lost after the startling 15....Qc2. Bogoljubow gambles several pawns for a threatening position but is unable to find any killing blow. Alekhine defends precisely, systematically capturing the White pawns and nullifying any threats. As the position simplifies, there is nothing left for White but resignation. Though Alekhine's play might look risky, he was never in any real danger.
