Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-25-04  mjk: Drawn until 79.♔f1? (♖g5!) <Nalimov>
Oct-20-05  Granite: I assume you mean 80. ♔f1 since 79. ♔g1 is check and ♖g5 isn't possible because of check.
Nov-25-07  Judah: In fact, <mjk> simply made a mistake. He probably set up the position wrong when he was analyzing. 80. Rg5 would lead to checkmate, of course.
Dec-05-14  joddon: didn't they play with 3 move repetition is a draw??

The losing move was 75 Ra3? allowing 75..Rd3. After the g-pawn fell, Black Death made no mistakes.

From the diagram, the most direct route to the draw is 75 Rxd5!! Kxd5 76 Ke1 = For example, 76..Kc4 77 Ke2 (diagonal opposition).
