I look at a lot of old games and this looks like a good 19th century game to me. The opening is simple and Black plays more passively and gives up more space than a modern grandmaster is likely to do. If you look at some of the Ruy Lopez games from Steinitz - Lasker World Championship Match (1894) where Steinitz plays Black it is sort of like this.

Lasker is lucky that chessplayers do not have to play royalties. :-)
