  Fusilli: Black played a good game, to the point that Botvinnik implicitly offered a draw. Black could have played 54...Rg6 claiming a draw, but chose to go on. The error appears to be 57...gxh4, conceding the strong f4 square for the White king. From then on, it's the usual superb Botvinnik.

It seems unlikely that they both missed this. Typo in the game score? Maybe Botvinnik played 37.Ne2 rather than 37.Na2.

  maxi: It does seem unlikely that neither player saw the knight's loss. However, it being move 40, the culprit could be the time control, if both players were short of time.
