Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-11-06  who: The last note should say threatening 46...Bf5+
Jul-23-09  Knight13: 17. Nxd7 Rxd7 18. Nc3.
Oct-23-20  SymphonicKnight: Stockfish gives 16 ... Nd4! as -2.9 at 30 ply, whereas 16... Nd7!? only -0.2. Correct then should be 17.Nxd7+ almost equalizing instead of 17.Nc3? Chigorin must have missed 17.Nxc5

Great game. Lasker is correct in his analyses, and otherwise, Steinitz played splendidly, although the 0-0-0 was risky as Lasker said.

It is not only an great game in the Evan's Gambit between giants, but also instructive to see the B+2P vs R winning so easily when connected, especially another 3P each on the other wing.
