Honza Cervenka: Ivkov's pretty positional sac of exchange cramped completely black's play. Following winning attack with sac of Rook on g7 was not difficult but very elegant.
Nov-12-08  Yonathan: Isn't 32.Be4 winning immediately, at least faster?
Dec-02-10  Kinghunt: <Yonathan: Isn't 32.Be4 winning immediately, at least faster?>

32. Be4 dxe4 and the best white can do is force a perpetual check.

An Englishman: Good Evening: An immortal effort.
Mar-08-13  bharat123: Great effort by IVKOV. I tried this game with 'Guess the move tool'. I tried 24.cxd6 instead of exd6 thinking that the e5 and h5 pawns cramp black and white can try king side attack. And I was penalised. I failed to see 35.Bf1 thinking that 36..e5 will hold. But white has forceful 36.Bh3. Scored 91 against par of 65.

GrahamClayton: <Honza Cervenka> Ivkov's pretty positional sac of exchange cramped completely black's play.

<Honza Cervenka> Ivkov gets a monster knight on d6 which is later replaced by a monster pawn. 18.Nc8? would be mistake - the exchange is regained, but at the cost of the strong knight.
