Aug-17-10  Ulhumbrus: On 13...Ne4?? 14 Bxe4 the d5 pawn is pinned along the d file to the N on d7 and so Black loses a piece after 14...dxe4 15 Rxd7. This suggests preparing the move ...Ne4 by defending the N on d7 by 13...Rad8.

  Tabanus: "At the end of the regulation time, Korchnoi started to seal his 42nd move, but looked the board over and then offered Mecking a draw which the 22-year-old grand master accepted. The two participants then continued play unofficially for a few minutes to see how the competition might have progressed had the game been adjourned."
