Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-17-07  Maynard5: This game showcases some nice attacking play by Smyslov. After the opening, Black has an isolated d-pawn, but more active play for his pieces. After posting his knight on the strong square e4, Black is able to summon up an attack on the kingside, by advancing his f-pawn. After Black's powerful 35. ... Qd6, White has no way to protect the h2 square, and has to lose at least the exchange.
