Apr-23-06  GarryBonaparte: A Kere's with Black's QN correctly
placed this time, rather than on
c5, as in G. 93 against Polugaevsky.

10 Rg1? This certainly wasn't needed
to enforce g5, which he's already played. And if he wants to later play f5, why play this move?

10 Bh3! and then f4 and f5.

13...the 'bane of the Velimirovic is
reached, only with a lot of wasted
moves by White popped in. That's why he begins losing.

Apr-23-06  ButIdothattoo: Uh...I'm getting a really strong
sense that you understand quite a
bit about Chess now, and just need
to come back and deliver the punishment, rather than blabbing all the secrets away. Otherwise, you might find your opponents thoroughly
stocked up when you do finally return.
But thanx for the cornbread, man.

Tabanus: <ButIdothattoo> In case you return, White lost on time according to the tournament book.

kingscrusher: It seems White had to play 19.a3 - an essential move. I know Fischer has commented on this move in the 60 memorable games book. but here it acts as an encouragement for "self-deflection" away from the e5 square, if black indulges in Nxa3

In the game because 19.a3 was committed black got huge counterplay

kingscrusher: Just to clarify a bit further, if 19.a3 Nxa3, White has e5 :
