<12.Ra2!...> A masterful, prophilactic move. Bad Tarrasch would have disliked this move, good Chigorin would have like it. [Paraphrasing a bit.]

  GrahamClayton: While 12. Ra2 looks like a terrible move, it is very effective, snuffing out any q-side counterplay by Smyslov, and allowing Lipnitsky to continue with his k-side attack.
