TheAlchemist: A brilliant game by Beliavsky! While Smyslov loses time hunting down the meaningless h7-pawn, Beliavsky launches a fierce attack on the other side of the board and comes home triumphant.
Jun-14-05  OneBadDog: Assuming that Smyslov's quest for the h7 pawn didn't get him anywhere, should he have played 5 g3 or 5 Nf3?

TheAlchemist: I believe 9.Nh3 was strange, and even more so was 11.Ng5, although it was consistent. Better would have been, I think, 9.Nf3 and 11.e3 or g3, trying to develop. See the ridiculous Bf1 and Rh1 in the end.
