May-02-06  stanleys: Chessgames it should read 34.Nc8 mate.
Anyway, fantastic combination by GM Elena Sedina!!!(one of the most beautiful mates I have ever seen!)
May-03-06  stanleys: This is my suggestion for the puzzle of the month!
May-03-06  stanleys: Still nobody to kibitz here?!A combination like this one deserves more,I believe
May-03-06  technical draw: <stanleys> You are right. Fantastic game! Great foresight by Sedina. You can say that Tal was playing white and no one would know the difference.
Jul-28-06  stanleys: I would like to thank miss Tkeshelashvili for accepting being mated! The final position is so beautiful!
Mar-10-07  laskersteinitz: Exercise 46 in Aagaard's "Excelling at Chess Calculation". Beautiful.
May-24-08  addiction to chess: Brilliant!!!

OhioChessFan: Sweet! I wonder how many times a loser has underpromoted.
May-25-08  syracrophy: Beautiful!
Mar-27-09  tommy boy: Absolutely brilliant
Mar-01-10  Bdellovibrio: <OhioChessFan> I've underpromoted at least five times in internet blitz.
Mar-01-10  superstoned: Beautiful how White castles twice.
Mar-01-10  Nullifidian: <OhioChessFan:> <Sweet! I wonder how many times a loser has underpromoted.>

I don't know about that, but if Tkeshelashvili had not played 32... ♕a5, allowing the mate, then there might have been an underpromotion by both sides:

32... ♘d4 ♖xd4 33. ♖xd4 ♕e5 34. c8♘+! ♖xc8 (♔b8? 35. ♘d7+, forking the king and queen) ♘xc8+

Mar-01-10  RandomVisitor: 23.gxf3! h2 24.Ke2 .

27.Rxg1 Qc2+ 28.Kf3 Qf5+ 29.Bf4 Qh3+ 30.Ke2 Qe6+ 31.Kd2 .

An Englishman: Good Evening: Brilliant play, esp. since Black launched the first attack--don't forget to credit Sedina for her calm defense.

Mar-01-10  SharpAttack: Mindblowing!!! Rarely have I seen such brilliance!
Mar-01-10  rhedrich: Why didn't Black play 32...Nd4?
Mar-01-10  asianwarrior: Nice game. The first time I saw a woman make a long combination like that.

  al wazir: <rhedrich: Why didn't Black play 32...Nd4?> Among other reasons, to avoid 33. Nc8+ Ka8 34. Ne7+.
Mar-01-10  Starf1re: I wept hot tears of joy as I replayed the game. Bravo.
Mar-01-10  Eduardo Leon: The queen sacrifice wasn't particularly difficult, but it was very beautiful. Still, OTB, the most difficult part of the game would have been determining 21.bxc5 was feasible and then dealing with Black's attack (moves 22-28). At least for me.
Mar-01-10  ounos: Fantastic catfite, and great finish!!!
Mar-01-10  Bonifratz: Woah... this is beautiful!
Mar-01-10  Skylark: 21. bxc5 was ballsy and the final position is very picturesque. Two thumbs up from me.
