Honza Cervenka: Black's position was already dubious but to leave a piece en prise in move 31 was not necessary. I see that 31...Bd7 32.Rb8+ Ke7 33.Qh4+ as well as 31...Bc6 32.Rb8+ Kd7 33.Qh4 loses outright but 31...Ba6 looks still playable. Now after 31...Ba6 32.Rb8+ Kd7 33.Qh4 black has a defense 33...Bc8. White is better here but not clearly won.
Dec-12-08  desiobu: Maybe black should have kept his dark-squared bishop?

wwall: I don't think this is Jonathan Wilson. I believe it is Harry Wilson. Murray's History of Chess says “In 1815, Harry Wilson, who was playing even with Lewis in 1819, had played with De la Bourdonnais, giving him the odds of the knight.”
