HeMateMe: Very solid positional players seem to have their way with Shirov. VK seemed in control of the game from move 1.

A large part of the game mirrored positions I've had in blitz games. I try to remember the subtelties that a Kramnik drops in, to use next time I have a middle game with the isolated pawn.

Oct-04-10  Hesam7: Nobody plays the IQP better than Kramnik.
Oct-04-10  shintaro go: <Very solid positional players seem to have their way with Shirov.> Shirov has a hard time when the opponent refuses to enter a wild tactical battle with him.
Oct-04-10  messachess: Kramnik found a way to completely control the play in this one.--very workman-like, but very effective.
Oct-04-10  notyetagm: Kramnik vs Shirov, 2010

It is very cold, in Khanty-Mansiysk.
