  eternaloptimist: Chomping at the Bit
Apr-28-16  AlicesKnight: Interesting - who will get in first? Black declines the chance to exchange queens three times - well-judged.
Apr-28-16  morfishine: An interesting dance. I'm thinking 26.Nf6+ followed by 27.Bxc2 improves for White, but who knows

eternaloptimist: I'd like to say thanks to cg.com & everyone who gave my pun & game a high rating in the voting booth! Even though my pun was slightly altered, I have no problem w/ that. I've always heard people say "chomping at the bit" as far as I can remember. Although now I see that some people say "champing at the bit." <AlicesKnight> Indeed Nielsen showed good judgment by choosing to keep his ♕ on the board. Many players automatically exchange ♕s to make the game less complicated, but choosing when you should exchange pieces & pawns/when you shouldn't is definitely 1 of the most important factors in chess. The opening is interesting b/c it started off as a Richter-Veresov, but it transposed into a French (Exchange, Svenonius Variation). <morf> I agree that it's an interesting dance, & after some position maneuvering, a quick dance for the last several moves.

PawnSac: white's play was characterized by an obsession to trade material, and in the end it was his undoing. If he had spent as much effort developing and gaining control of key squares he would have faired much better.

black on the other hand focused on finding a path to the white king. After 23. ..Nd4! he threatens ..Bxf5 and ..b4 So what does white do? black throws him a right hook and white leans into it! LMAO He seemed more concerned about the g pawn than his king!

PawnSac: 9.Qe2 was a clumsy move. White impedes his own development by blocking the e2 square. Nge2 and 0-0-0 was much better.
Apr-28-16  kevin86: White wanted to trade, black wanted to win!
Apr-28-16  catlover: Bit-Narve spends half the game trying to trade queens, and on the last move he loses his Queen.
